CESAR MARKS A DECADE AT PLANTWORX

CESAR MARKS A DECADE AT PLANTWORX

The official CESAR scheme owned by the Construction Equipment Association (CEA) and powered by Datatag ID Limited will this week celebrate its tenth year at the Plantworx show 6TH-8TH June, at Bruntingthorpe, Leicestershire.

The official CESAR scheme was launched back in 2007 to address the £1million a week headache of plant and agricultural machinery theft. The system, made up of state of the art Datatag security marking technology, includes unique tamper evident warning labels, forensic DNA, Datadots and RFID tags, which contribute to the powerful deterrent and recovery system.

Since it was launched in 2007 CESAR has been adopted by the vast majority of leading manufacturers and Plantworx exhibitors. The scheme, arguably the most successful of its type anywhere in the world, now protects 250,000 pieces of equipment and has contributed to a 70% decrease in equipment theft in the UK.

CESAR will celebrate this milestone on the first day of the Plantworx show (6th June) at 11am where Rob Oliver, the chief executive of the CEA will say a few words and cut the anniversary cake on the CESAR stand, B45/B36. There will also be further celebrations on the evening of the second day (7th June), where guests are invited to let their hair down and attend a specially organised Go Karting and BBQ event at the Whittle Building on site at Bruntingthorpe.
